Librarians all over the state of Washington have selected their favorite 20 picture books of 2013. Now it's time for readers to select their favorite and award one author the Children's Choice Picture Book Award. Click here to see all the nominees. Students in grades K-2 are listening to all the stories read aloud during their time in the library. They are all asked to VOTE for their favorites, but not until they've heard them all.
Most of these books leave the reader with great ideas/lessons to think about. There is something very special about a powerful picture book to start a good conversation!
