The slide show includes many photos from field day. Thanks to Mr. Roberts and all the volunteers that helped make this a perfect event to end the year! For me, It was a treat to stand back, take in the afternoon, watch kids and reflect on a wonderful year, a new journey. It just keeps getting better and better.
For those of you who missed it, here is the End of Year slide show. Click full screen and turn up the volume! Thank you to a very special volunteer who helped make this happen with such short notice. Next year, my plan is to start in September gathering photos for slide shows and year books - yup, we're definitely building this plane while it's flying.

A quick shout out to Allen & Goel who created QAE pedometers for each student who participated in the field day event. Turn around time, unit price and product quality was impressive to everyone. Look for other "shout outs" to various organizations and companies that support our school. As be build our list of supporters, how cool to spread the word and turn the support around!
Halfpops, a Seattle based company, supplied a healthy snack (a savory balance with the popsicle) at the end of field day. My favorite has always been searching for the half popped kernels at the bottom of the bag - when this came our way, my only thought was "brillant"! Thank you Halfpops!
Hotter the better!
On a personal note, I have to end with a photo of Madeline! We've been enjoying time on the beach in South Florida with Grandma and Grandpa. Madeline is completely addicted to the heat, a warm ocean followed by a pool dip. With swimming lessons everyday, she can now hold her breath and dive for rings. Her swim teacher is determined to get her swimming. She has two more days as we depart for Seattle on Wednesday.

Not huge news, but I did want everyone to know that the Queen Anne Elementary library website address has changed. Beginning September 1, 2011, the web address (URL) will be <qaelibrary.org>. Until that time, <www.qmlibrary.org> will forward you to the correct place. Hope you are having a great summer.
