Rewarding New Books for Reading Achievements!

Everyone loves an incentive, especially QAE readers! Three days remain for the QAE library to earn 10K points from Scholastic which would buy over 100 books. Students who complete a series are given a Scholastic catalog where they can choose a new book for their library at home. 

Since we opened QAE, the library has given away over 200 books as reading incentives. I've used up all my Scholastic points (collected over the past 21 years) and need your support to rebuild the supply!

Click here and use the activation code JNB2V to order a book or two for your child. There is no shipping or tax and when the books arrive at the school I will deliver to your child's classroom. Ordering requires a Scholastic account; registration takes a minute, if you don't already have one.

A huge "Welcome Back" to all returning parents and a heart felt welcome to our new parents. Thank you for choosing QAE!  We deeply care about all students and work together identifying their needs. To keep parents connected, a "Specialist Blog" email notification has been created so that you receive posts from Mr. R (PE), Nurse Bullinger (Health), Ms. Fischer-Meyers (Intervention), Julietta Skoog (Parent Ed), Ms. Meg (Art) and Mr. Jeffrey (Library and Technology). We believe that the home connection greatly increases success for everyone!

The library/technology blog will include events happening in the school, programs/apps that students are being introduced to, student achievements, reading celebrations. The library is the heart of the school and it's my goal to create an environment where students want to be, offering something to everyone. The library is open during all recesses and before and after schools. Thanks for letting me know through your comments that you're watching us.

Last year, the QAE library awarded new books to 146 students who completed a series! Throughout my years of teaching, I've collected thousands of Scholastic points, those points have been used up buying new books for our series readers and now it's time to build up more. Until 9/30, Scholastic is offering 10,000 points for orders over $300. This can be a collective order from everyone. Would you please consider using the activation code (JNB2V) and buying a book or two? OR just send (or drop by) the library a small donation and I'll take care of it.

I remember browsing the Scholastic Catalog when I was in school - I'd first circle my choices and then negotiate with my parents on getting them! Check out Scholastic - they often times have books you can't find anywhere.

We have another day to make the $350.  goal and earn the library program 6000 points, which will provide students free books as reading incentives.  Would you consider placing a small order with Scholastic using the activation code - JNB2V?

Books for you, Points for the School

I've set up all the Decemeber Scholastic Book catalogs (SeaSaw, Arrow, Lucky,  Holiday, and Clearance). Perfect Christmas gifts, guarenteed to arrive before Christmas. Books purchased on Scholastic earn the school points, buying us more books for the library and classrooms.
