Unfortunately, due to changing schedules we are short volunteers in the library. Today begins the search for more support in the library - keeping books on the shelves, checking out and supporting students in their book searching. If you are able or know someone who maybe interested being with us, we are looking for additional volunteers in the library. We'll take any amount of time you can give. The library opens for students at 9:00 - we have some days covered, but still have a few openings. Please so that a perfect time can be found - before, during or after school - we'll take it all!
The computer lab is open during lunch recess - we are looking for volunteers to be in the lab from 12:00 - 1:00. During this time you will be able to observe the programs and sites our students are accessing. Volunteers during this time will also be able to take care of personal stuff, as they will have use of the computer.
Please if you can be with us and volunteer your time in the library or lab.

If you were one of many parents who have been receiving automated emails about overdue books that were returned on time, please forgive the library! There was an issue that has been fixed in properly checking in books before being returned to the shelf. This is not to say other issues will not arise, but for now most books have been checked in. FYI: emails are automatically sent on Friday at 4:00 to those families with overdue books.
I am loving listening to the stories read by our fabulous parents and students. With my daughter, the nightly ritual is to bring the iPad into the bed and listen to two stories. There is a huge connection listening to future peers read. Thank you for those who have participated! It is absolutely NOT too late to record as this will be on going.

The proud looks from students when listening to stories read by parents is priceless.
For those recording books, please remember to preview and practice reading your chosen book before doing the actual recording.
What a difference it makes when the story is read with excitement, various voices and volume. Headphones with a built in mic are best. Please let me know if you'd like to borrow a pair.
