For early learning math practice, Tric-Trac is a great solution! My daughter Madeline is hooked; when using this app or the on-line program (ask your child's teacher if you need the password again) she is able to come up with different possibilities making a specific sum. She is developing strategies by adding one or two in order to beat her daddy! Playing learning games is a win-win! While having fun, our children hear us think out loud different strategies we may use to win. In our house (and in my teaching) if you had fun playing you're a winner. With one day left for the library "Titlewish" campaign, we've reached half our goal of $2,500. Having the funds to buy books that our students and teachers are requesting for the library is a great thing. Our first purchase will be books requested through the "Book Wish Blog" and a collection of books to support QAE's gardening program.
